It’s natural, and it happens to everybody. But it’s how you handle that feeling that makes all the difference in the world. In the past I would try to cope with stress and overwhelm by consuming Red Bulls and junk food. Needless to say, that didn’t solve anything.
Most people get overwhelmed and instead of looking at the real problem they just try to power through it like I did. You are stressed and overwhelmed because you are thinking about or trying to do too much.
Step back and prioritize everything.
Look at what can only be done by you vs. what you could outsource to free up some time. Next, look at what’s left on your plate and find the things that would make the biggest impact if you did it.
Following these steps will not stop you from feeling overwhelmed, but they can make a huge impact on how you respond to it.
